In this exhibition Ardi Gunawan taught me how to use the I Ching, which involves throwing coins or dice. We initially developed a score using the I Ching as a way to devise encounters with the materials that are available on site. I produced an animation as an exploration of the aesthetic of the symbols used in this occult and traditional Chinese practice and then together Ardi and I produced a video and photographic documentation of the activities, actions and material we encountered during this event.
